Soft and stretchy, the Eeonyx Stretchy Variable Resistance Sensor fabric is an innovative material perfect for creating adaptive wearables or soft sensors that require flexibility. The unique combination of nylon and spandex is coated with a durable conductive layer, adjusting resistance levels as it's stretched.
The conductive fabric measures changes in resistance from one end to the other, making it ideal for stretch or strain sensors. It requires a resistive divider and an analog-reading microcontroller to track these changes effectively.
Each 12"x13" (33 x 30cm) sheet has a nominal 0.5mm thickness, a soft hand, and is easy to stitch, sew, or serge. The fabric's surface resistivity is 20K-ohm/square inch at rest, halving when stretched. Remarkably durable, it maintains performance up to 30 washes without significant resistivity changes.
