Description

This DC-DC step-down converter module transforms an incoming voltage range of 15-24V to a steady 12V output with a current capacity of up to 12A. Its standout feature is its conversion efficiency, exceeding 95%, ensuring that power is optimally used while reducing heat loss. With ripple noise kept below 50mV, it caters to applications where power stability is crucial.

The module incorporates essential protection mechanisms such as over-temperature protection, activating at temperatures up to 125°C, and short circuit protection. These features work cohesively to prevent damage to both the module itself and any connected devices, offering peace of mind in complex systems.

Designed for high-current environments, the module includes a thermal pad that bolsters heat dissipation. When soldered onto a larger copper area, it ensures efficient thermal management, which is particularly beneficial in maintaining performance during heavy load conditions.

Beyond its primary functions, the module provides three control pins for enhanced usability. The EN pin, when left floating, enables output and can be controlled with a microcontroller via a 1k resistor. The AGND pin offers a single ground point, ideal for microcontroller management. Lastly, the PGOOD pin serves as a status indicator, outputting 5V for normal voltage or 0V in case of anomalies or shorts, ensuring transparent and effective monitoring.
