Adafruit Cold 2-Wire Splice (UY) - 10 pack

Kiss those days of heat shrink, melted jacketing, and clumsily arranged tools goodbye. Go 'cold splice' with these snap-able plastic splices for fast connections. Use with any 22-26 AWG solid core wire by sliding them into the plastic splice until they reach the metal teeth.

Then, simply squeeze down with parallel-jaw or slip joint pliers for a secure fit. Avoid needle noses as they lack the force needed. We find using a Panavise to be particularly effective for this task. This is a two-way butt splice designed to connect two 22-26 AWG solid-core wires efficiently and compactly, without soldering—much sleeker than a three-way splice.

The splices are pre-filled with silicone jelly to prevent oxidation, offering a degree of weather resistance. Note, however, they are not waterproof. Each pack contains 10 pieces, making them a convenient addition to any toolkit.
