This circular flexible thin film pressure sensor, measuring 18.3mm in diameter, offers highly sensitive pressure detection. The RP-C flexible pressure sensor is crafted from an ultra-thin film, renowned for excellent mechanical properties, embedded with superior conductive materials and nanometre pressure-sensitive layers. The sensor's architecture includes a thin film and pressure-sensitive layer on the upper part and a thin film with a conductive circuit on the lower part. These are bonded using double-sided tape. When pressure is applied to the active area, the sensor’s lower layer, initially an open circuit, connects through the pressure-sensitive layer. This transformation of pressure into resistance causes a decrease in output resistance as pressure increases.
