This capacitive tube liquid level sensor is engineered with fine sensitivity, designed specifically for non-metallic tubes of 6mm diameter. It provides digital outputs in high or low levels, indicating when liquid is detected by shifting to a low state. Featuring a 3-pin DuPont connector, this sensor finds utility in various applications such as beverage machines, small water tube level detection, and infusion pipe level detection.
The sensor operates by leveraging the innate capacitance properties of water. In its idle state, it maintains a static capacitance due to distributed capacitance. As the liquid level ascends towards the sensor, the parasitic capacitance from the liquid interacts with the static capacitance, increasing the overall capacitance. The sensor transmits this variation to the control integrated circuit, where signal conversion occurs through a predefined algorithm that identifies and evaluates the capacitance change.
Once the change surpasses a preset threshold, the sensor determines the liquid level has reached the detection point. This process ensures precise real-time monitoring, essential in preventing overflow or ensuring adequate liquid levels, like in an automated beverage machine refilling system or maintaining appropriate fluid levels in medical infusion equipment.
