This module converts a voltage to a desired (lower) stable voltage, which can be adjusted by means of the potentiometer. Because this module can deliver up to 3A, this module is suitable for many applications.

QWardIs dit AC->DC of DC->DC?ViewHide 1 answer | Answer this question
AOpencircuitThis is a DC -> DC converter, AC -> DC converters are usually already built into power supplies.
QBenHow safe are these modules and by that I mean, it says IN 24 volts DC. the output is set to 5 volts which supplies power to electronics that only know against a higher voltage than 5 v. If this module breaks down (when closed or something), what is the reasonable chance that it will give out full 24 volts? Has anyone had this bad experience before???ViewHide 1 answer | Answer this question
AOpencircuitWith this difference in voltage I would not go for a cheap linear converter, but for a switching converter from, for example, Pololu: https://opencircuit.nl/list/spanningregelaar-modules These (brand) converters are also better tested and resistant to various situations.
QJosephI bought a box full of buck converters. They are great for projects with multi purpose use cases. I can recommend adding a hollow plug and insert it in a case like this: https://nerd-corner.com/step-down-modul-dc-dc-lm2596s/
Can you maybe add this link to the description. Guess it is the most common usage and helpful as a guide?Answer this question
QReinHey! If the voltage of the input changes, does the voltage of the output change with it?ViewHide 1 answer | Answer this question
AOpencircuitThe output should remain constant.
QMartijn van BemmelenCan you regulate 30v back to 5v Max 3amp?ViewHide 1 answer | Answer this question
AOpencircuitProbably not, 3A is the maximum the module can deliver with a small voltage difference.

Nicely molded coil, tension is easy to adjust.

Did some measurements but doubt 3amp. Due to heat dissipation. Module is easy to adjust and ripple with continuous 1.2 amp is not too bad. Capacitor at entrance and ic is around 50 grd. With this load when it lies outdoors at ambient temp of 20 grd.
