Adafruit ATTEN 50W 110V Soldering Iron With Station

This compact 50W stationary soldering iron is an excellent entry-level soldering station, offering impressive performance for its price. Equipped with a separate power supply and pen, it heats up swiftly and excels with both lead and lead-free solder.

The powering station features a temperature control knob lock. Once you've set the desired temperature, secure it by tightening the hex nut on the underside using the provided hex wrench. The heater light blinks when the iron tip reaches the set temperature.

The iron comes with a blunt conical tip suitable for larger through-hole components. While it's serviceable for beginners, alternative tips may be beneficial. Compatible with "Hakko style" tips, you can easily switch between through-hole and surface-mount technology (SMT) tasks.

The soldering station includes a metal iron holder for safe storage when not in use, and a cleaning sponge with a tray ensures the tip remains in good condition with proper care. To extend its lifespan, clean the plated tip with a damp sponge and turn off when not in use.
