Arduino MKR NB 1500

The Arduino MKR NB 1500 is a board specially designed for Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) communication, ideal for projects in remote locations without an internet connection or where power supply is limited. The heart of the MKR NB 1500 is an energy-efficient Arm Cortex-M0 32-bit SAMD21 processor. For Narrowband connectivity, it uses the u-blox SARA-R410M-02B module, suitable for various LTE IoT bands and providing global coverage with support from operators such as Vodafone, AT&T, and Verizon.

An important feature is the secure communication via the Microchip ECC508 crypto chip. The board also contains a battery charger and a connection for an external antenna. The MKR NB 1500 is designed to operate from both battery power and an external 5V source, with automatic switching between these sources.

The MKR NB 1500 is part of the Arduino MKR family, which offers various wireless communication solutions such as MKR FOX 1200 (Sigfox), MKR WAN 1310 (LoRa/LoRaWAN), and MKR GSM 1400 (GSM/3G).

The board is compatible with the Arduino IoT Cloud, providing a simple and secure way to manage IoT devices. However, it requires a SIM card for cloud communications over mobile networks.
