Arduino GIGA R1 WiFi

The Arduino GIGA R1 WiFi is a sophisticated board designed for ambitious makers, including gamers, artists, and sound designers. It maintains the form factor of the popular Mega and Due but introduces advanced features. Key aspects include a powerful STM32H747XI microcontroller with dual cores (Cortex-M7 at 480 MHz and Cortex-M4 at 240 MHz), supporting both MicroPython and Arduino programming. Its Murata 1DX module provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, and it's secured with an ATECC608A for safe communication.

This board extends its connectivity options with 4 UARTs, 3 I2C ports, and 2 SPI ports, surpassing its predecessors. It also includes 1 FDCAN and boasts 76 GPIO pins accessible from underneath, along with new VRTC and OFF pins. Unique connectors include a USB-A for peripherals like storage devices or HID tools, a 3.5mm jack for audio, a USB-C for power and programming, a JTAG connector, and a 20-pin Arducam camera connector. Remarkably, it handles a voltage range of 6 to 24 volts, higher than previous models.

The GIGA R1 WiFi is also compatible with the Arduino IoT Cloud, enhancing remote project management. It's particularly synergistic when paired with the Arduino GIGA Display Shield, featuring a 3.97” 480x800 RGB touch screen, a digital microphone, a 6-axis IMU, and an Arducam connector. Makers can further personalize their setup by designing custom 3D-printed cases for both the GIGA WiFi R1 and GIGA Display Shield, guided by available tutorials.
