Adafruit LSM6DSOX 6 DoF Accelerometer and Gyroscope

Behold, the ST LSM6DSOX: A cutting-edge Accelerometer+Gyroscope 6-DOF IMU from ST. It boasts 6 degrees of freedom with 3 each for linear acceleration and angular velocity.

Accelerometer ranges are ±2/±4/±8/±16 g with 1.6 Hz to 6.7 KHz update rates. Gyroscope sensitivity includes ±125/±250/±500/±1000/±2000 dps, also at 12.5 Hz to 6.7 KHz.

Enhancements include tap detection, activity monitoring, a pedometer/step counter, and a programmable finite state machine/machine learning core for basic gesture recognition.

The sensor can interface via SPI or I2C, featuring two configurable interrupt pins. Advanced users can connect additional devices using an external port for optical image stabilization. For swift implementation, sensors are mounted on compact breakout boards with voltage regulation and level-shifted inputs, accepting both 3V and 5V power/logic devices.

Compatible library support for Arduino/C++ or CircuitPython/Python simplifies integration with platforms like Raspberry Pi. The I2C protocol allows straightforward connectivity with two wires plus power and ground.
