Our rugged metal buttons now feature a full-color RGB LED ring light, encased in chrome-plated metal for durability and style. This 19mm Momentary version is easy to install by drilling a 19mm hole into materials up to 0.45" thick, utilizing a rubber gasket to ensure a watertight fit.
The button's front flaunts a flat metal actuator surrounded by a vibrant plastic RGB LED ring. The back hosts 4 metal contacts for the RGB LED (one anode and 3 cathodes) and 3 spade contacts for the SPDT switch.
Operating the RGB LED ring is simple: power the anode at 3-6V and ground the red, green, and blue cathodes as desired. The built-in resistor allows for safe operation, and PWM control enables endless color possibilities. Add a 1K ohm resistor for higher voltages like 12V or 24V.
The switch function features a common contact next to the "C," and two spade contacts labeled NO (normally-open) and NC (normally-closed). Pressing the button closes the NO contact to the common while opening the NC contact. LED and switch functions remain electrically independent, allowing for versatile microcontroller integration to manage color changes and signal detection.
