Sew a little sparkle into your wearable project with an Adafruit LED Sequin. These are the kid sister to our popular Flora NeoPixel, showcasing a single color without digital control, making them smaller and easier to use for various projects.
To illuminate, connect 3 to 6 volts DC to the plus pin and ground to the minus pin. The LED on the board will light up, adding a vibrant accent to your designs.
Utilize PWM (analogWrite) with a Gemma or Flora to make the LEDs fade and twinkle, or connect to a digital I/O pin of a microcontroller for simple on-off functionality. Alternatively, power directly from a LiPoly or coin battery to eliminate the need for a microcontroller.
Each order includes five warm white "1206 size" LEDs paired with a 100-ohm resistor. Powered by 3.3V, they draw approximately 5mA, allowing you to connect up to four or five in parallel on a single microcontroller pin. Available in an array of colors including ruby red, emerald green, royal blue, and rose pink, these sequins offer endless creative possibilities.
