Adafruit HUZZAH ESP8266 Breakout

Add Internet connectivity to your next project with the compact WiFi-enabled ESP8266 microcontroller. This 80 MHz powerhouse features a full WiFi front-end, capable of functioning as both client and access point with built-in TCP/IP stack and DNS support.

The Adafruit HUZZAH ESP8266 breakout board simplifies prototyping with this chip by incorporating a CE and FCC certified module with onboard antenna, reset and user buttons, and a red LED. It includes an onboard 500mA 3.3V regulator, making it ready to power demanding projects.

Specifications include:

• 9 x GPIO pins (3.3V logic) for I2C or SPI
• 1 x Analog input (1.0V max)
• 2 x UART pins

Power the module via two parallel breadboard-friendly power inputs using either USB or a battery. Easily upload code with the FTDI pinout, and choose between the pre-loaded NodeMCU Lua interpreter or the Arduino IDE for programming flexibility.

The ESP8266 breakout comes fully assembled with headers for easy breadboard integration—soldering tools required. Accessory options include USB serial or FTDI cables for uploading software.
