Adafruit Ethernet FeatherWing

Wireless connectivity is convenient, but there's undeniable reliability in a wired connection. The Ethernet FeatherWing is perfect for building stable network connections in permanent installations. Simply connect a standard Ethernet cable and use the Ethernet2 library for seamless cross-platform networking.

This unit is compatible with all Feather boards, operating as an Ethernet Client. Ethernet's physical connection eliminates the fuss of SSIDs, passwords, and signal interference. The WIZ5500 chip integrates effortlessly over SPI and a single CS pin, and the Arduino Ethernet2 library performs fast DHCP setups.

Featuring RJ-45 jack with link and activity indicators, this FeatherWing keeps you informed of your connection status. Although it lacks PoE support, a PoE splitter can easily provide power. A version is available that powers via a micro USB connection, delivering 5V at up to 2.4 Amps.
