Crank up your robotics with the powerful Adafruit DRV8871 motor driver breakout board. This versatile driver is packed with features ideal for diverse mechatronics applications. Its simple resistor-set current limiting and automatic PWM support make it compatible with virtually any brushed DC motor.
Specifications include a motor power voltage range of 6.5V to 45V, a peak current of 3.6A, and a typical RDS(on) of 565mΩ. Enjoy hassle-free PWM control, current limiting without an inline sense resistor, undervoltage lockout, overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown.
Usage is straightforward. Connect your motor to the OUT terminal block and provide power (6.5-45VDC) to VMotor. Manage the H-bridge input control on IN1 and IN2, and use external resistors to set the current limiting. A pre-installed 30K resistor provides a ~2A current limit, adjustable by modifying or replacing the resistor.
Your order includes a fully assembled and tested motor driver breakout, two pre-soldered 2-pin terminal blocks, and a small strip of header. Light soldering is required to attach the header, achievable with basic soldering tools. Access our tutorial for wiring diagrams, CAD files, example code, and more.
