DotStar LED strips offer an exceptional LED lighting experience with enhanced speed and precision. Employing a generic 2-wire SPI, data transmission is significantly faster than the NeoPixel 800 KHz protocol, eliminating intricate timing requirements.

The high PWM refresh rate allows for Persistence-of-Vision (POV) applications, reducing flickering at low brightness levels. Ideal for usage with any microcontroller like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or SparkCore due to their flexible control options via clock and data pins.

This 1-meter length contains 144 LEDs per meter on a flexible PCB with weatherproof sheathing. Easy customization through cut-lines every LED and convenient connection with solderable copper pads enable tailored configurations. A 5V DC power supply ensures optimal performance, with a power protection precaution against exceeding 6V.

DotStar strips come equipped with 4-pin JST SM connectors for efficient setup and can be extended by linking multiple strips while managing current usage. Ideal enhancements for monochromatic lighting, providing brilliant illumination with three white dies for consistent light output.
