Seamlessly save data to any FAT16 or FAT32 formatted SD card, easily readable by plotting, spreadsheet, or analysis software. A tutorial explains plotting data using two free software applications. The Real Time Clock stamps your data with accurate timestamps, ensuring you know the precise timing of every event.

Note: This shield isn't fully compatible with Arduino MEGA currently, but a sketch is available that allows usage on a MEGA without modifications. The item doesn't include an Arduino or SD card but does come with an RTC battery. Basic soldering skills are needed as the kit is unassembled, yet even beginners can complete assembly in under an hour.

The SD card interface is compatible with FAT16/FAT32 cards, using 3.3v level shifter circuitry to protect your SD card. The RTC maintains time-keeping even when your Arduino disconnects, with battery backup lasting years. Included libraries and example codes facilitate quick setup. A prototyping area supports soldering connectors, circuitry, or sensors.

The onboard 3.3v regulator ensures reliable voltage reference and efficiently powers SD cards that demand extra power. This shield works best with an Arduino featuring a '328 chip.
