Adafruit ANO Rotary Navigation Encoder to I2C Stemma QT Adapter

Description

The ANO rotary encoder wheel offers a retro, interactive element, reminiscent of the iconic scrolling interface from early iPods. Avoid the hassle of complex pin connections with the Stemma QT breakout, equipped with an onboard microcontroller to handle pulse and pin tracking over I2C.

Designed for seamless integration, it connects easily via a Stemma QT cable to any microcontroller, from Arduino UNO to Raspberry Pi, without soldering. Pre-installed with our seesaw firmware, enjoy instant functionality.

Using our Arduino library or CircuitPython/Python code, control and read data effortlessly. Operates on 3 to 5V DC power, with INT pin pulsing for detection of rotation or button presses. Expandable with four solder jumpers for I2C address modification, allowing up to 16 devices on a single bus. Ideal for mechanical encoders, when hand-rotated, while ensuring compatibility with breadboards through six 0.1"-spaced breakout pads.
