Sparkfun 2.4GHz Terminal Antenna, I-PEX MHF® I (U.FL), 250mm RG-178

The GW.17 Click-in Terminal Antenna is a durable 2.4GHz dipole antenna, specifically designed for quick assembly onto finished products. This antenna is equipped with a 250mm low loss RG-178 cable and an IPEX MHFI ® (U.FL) connector. The unique design of the antenna, with the cable and IPEX connector coming out directly from the housing, eliminates the need for a separate cable assembly and bulky mating connector on the device. It's a cost-effective and time-saving solution.

The antenna's peak gain is an important consideration when choosing an antenna for a device. Module manufacturers often specify peak gain limits for antennas based on free-space conditions. However, the peak gain of an antenna can degrade by 1 or 2dBi when installed inside a device. To compensate for this effect and ensure optimal performance, it's recommended to choose an antenna with a slightly higher peak gain than specified by the module manufacturer.
