Adafruit 12 MHz Ceramic Resonator / Oscillator

Keep your microcontroller ticking with a ceramic oscillator. These devices are breadboard-friendly with 0.1" pin spacing, making them easy to use in various projects.

Ceramic oscillators function similarly to crystals but include stability capacitors, providing 0.5% accuracy—suitable for everyday electronics and microcontroller tasks like UART or baud-rate generation. For ultra-high precision tasks such as certain USB timing, long-term timekeeping, or RF/PLL/VCO driving, consider using a crystal or temperature-compensated oscillator.

To use, connect the two outer pins to XTAL-in and XTAL-out on your circuit (the package is symmetric, so either outer pin can be used) and connect the inner pin to the ground. Consult the datasheet for more specifications.
