Pimoroni 0.96" SPI Colour LCD (160x80) Breakout

A handy little LCD to add readouts to your projects, this 0.96" SPI LCD features a 2:1 widescreen aspect ratio and exceptional viewing angles with its IPS technology. Compatible with both Raspberry Pi and Arduino, it becomes a versatile choice for displaying essential information.

The display is perfect for showing timers, clocks, and sensor readings. Use it to display the IP address of a headless Raspberry Pi, eliminating the need for a full display or complex network scans.

Despite its size, the LCD shines brightly with excellent resolution. The IPS panel provides wide viewing angles, ensuring readability from any direction. Its SPI interface allows operation at up to ~50FPS, making it visually pleasing even at lower frame rates.

No soldering is necessary when using it with Breakout Garden HAT with SPI. With reverse polarity protection and a resolution of 160x80 pixels, it offers 400cd/m² luminance and a contrast ratio of 800:1, with a 160° viewing angle.

Software support includes a Python library for Raspberry Pi, allowing straightforward display of images, text, graphics, and animated GIFs. It also supports Raspberry Pi Pico and other RP2040 boards using C++ or MicroPython.

Connecting is intuitive. For the Raspberry Pi, use SPI 0 by default. For the Raspberry Pi Pico, direct connections are also supported. Its dimensions are 29.1x25.9x5.4mm, packing impressive performance in a compact format.
