Pimoroni VL53L1X Time of Flight (ToF) Sensor Breakout

An innovative time of flight distance sensor equipped with low-power lasers, the VL53L1X breakout seamlessly integrates with Raspberry Pi or Arduino. Featuring a 27° field of view and up to 50Hz ranging frequency, its accuracy is impressive at +/- 25mm or +/- 20mm in darkness. The sensor supports both 3.3V and 5V systems and offers reverse polarity protection. It connects via I2C interface (address 0x29) and works with all models of Raspberry Pi and Arduino.

The included Python library simplifies interaction, providing methods for varying range distances and returns results in millimeters. Create distance graphs or set event-triggering thresholds, with examples provided for easy setup. For advanced use, change I2C addresses temporarily with a Python script or employ an I2C multiplexer to handle multiple sensors efficiently.
