How do you build a Tesla Coil?

Placed on

In this article you will explain how to build a tesla coil. This allows you to light fluorescent tubes and other lights wirelessly.

Below are the supplies. You also need a plank of wood, two pieces of PVC pipe (one thick and one thin) and a fluorescent tube to light.

These are nice projects Corne, coincidentally I have recently started to orient myself on this and am now working on a tube coil for cars. Too bad you mix up the primary/secondary connection in the text. These coils naturally resonate due to capacitive feedback. Any idea what the approximate frequency of this is? Is there a question of opposite winding of the coils or does this not matter in this design?! is of course important for circuits with control via electronics. Greetings Jan Zijlstra in Ankeveen.
