Adafruit Standalone Momentary Capacitive Touch Sensor Breakout

The simplest way to integrate touch interaction into any project. This breakout board eliminates the need for a microcontroller, requiring only a power source between 1.8 to 5.5VDC for activation.

A capacitive load, like a touch, illuminates the red LED while raising the output pin. Customization is easy—solder a wire to the center pad to design a tailored capacitive pad if the built-in one doesn't align perfectly with your requirements.

Power efficiency is flexible. Use the responsive fast mode drawing about 0.5mA, or adjust the jumper to shift to ultra-low power consumption around 50uA for energy-constrained applications.

The board includes a pre-assembled unit and a stick of 0.1" header for easy breadboard integration. For additional contacts, attach copper foil and solder a wire connecting it to the breakout. Refer to the datasheet for insights on sensitivity and power management.
