Utilizing ultrasonic echo ranging, this sensor measures distances by calculating the time lapse between sending a pulse and receiving its echo, all without physical contact. It's versatile enough to detect transparent or non-ferrous materials, as well as metal, liquid, solid, and even powder substances.

The sensor’s unique bell-mouth shell enhances the directivity and stability of its ultrasound output. This design not only refines the focus of the sound waves but also ensures consistent measurements, making it akin to having a perfectly tuned instrument in a concert hall. When setting up the sensor, note that the internal probe surface defaults as the detection starting point. To use the plane of the bell-mouth as a reference point, simply deduct 40mm from the detected distance.
