TF-NOVA Line Laser LiDAR Sensor (14m, Unique Line-Shaped Detection)

Perceiving the world as a series of disconnected dots, single-point sensors often miss crucial obstacles, thus leaving vast blind spots. The TF-NOVA Line Laser LiDAR is engineered to eliminate this fundamental flaw by projecting a wide 14° "curtain" of laser light, creating a continuous line of detection. At a distance of 1 meter, this line covers an area of 25cm x 1.7cm, making it perfect for ensuring nothing slips through. It brings a new dimension of perception to automated machines.

With its unique 14° horizontal by 1° vertical Field of View (FoV), this device creates a "laser line" of detection. The TF-NOVA reliably spots thin objects like chair legs, wires, or pallet edges that single-point sensors would easily miss, providing unparalleled detection accuracy.

Utilizing Pulse Time-of-Flight (PToF) technology, the TF-NOVA offers stable and accurate measurements up to 14 meters, even in challenging conditions such as 100Klux direct sunlight or on dark, low-reflectivity surfaces. This makes it a highly versatile tool for outdoor applications.

Incredibly compact and lightweight, it is smaller than an AA battery and weighs under 5g, allowing for seamless integration into space-constrained and weight-sensitive applications like drones, gimbals, and compact robotics. Its tiny footprint ensures adaptability across various technologies.

The TF-NOVA is equipped with UART, I2C, and a configurable I/O mode, which allows it to connect directly to platforms like Arduino or Raspberry Pi. The I/O mode can trigger a simple high/low signal, dramatically reducing the main controller's data processing workload, making integration straightforward and efficient.

Featuring a 905nm VCSEL light source that is classified as EN60825 Class 1, the TF-NOVA ensures safety for use in consumer products, educational settings, and public spaces. Coupled with its configurable frame rate up to 900Hz, it can track fast-moving objects and provide real-time feedback for high-speed robotic applications, thus extending its usability in dynamic tasks.
