The QwiicBus EndPoint is a highly efficient way to increase your I2C signals' reach. It operates using NXP’s PCA9615 IC, which transforms the standard I2C signals into four differential signals, two for SCL and two for SDA. These signals are transmitted via an Ethernet cable that connects to the breakout through the RJ-45 connectors on-board. This differential signaling ensures that your I2C signals can reach up to 30.48m without compromising their integrity. Moreover, the Qwiic system enables all communication to occur exclusively via I2C, eliminating the need for soldering when connecting it to your system. However, if you prefer using a breadboard, 2.54mm-spaced pins are also available.
The QwiicBus MidPoint is designed to work in conjunction with the QwiicBus Endpoint, allowing you to integrate devices into the system wherever needed.
The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is a robust ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to streamline prototyping and reduce errors. All Qwiic-enabled boards utilize a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, minimizing the required PCB space. Plus, the polarized connections ensure you can't connect it incorrectly.
