The SparkFun EKMB1107112 Qwiic PIR doesn't provide specific distance data. Instead, it monitors for IR light from objects within its field of view, activating its signal when motion is detected. This makes it ideal for applications such as automatic device activation upon motion detection. It can be used in home and building automation for energy saving, automated on/off lighting control, security, appliances, and IoT.
This PIR sensor from Panasonic® is low-profile, offering space savings for constrained designs with its 10.9mm height compared to the standard 14.4mm.
