The Qwiic MicroPressure Sensor has a calibrated pressure sensing range from 1-25psi and a power consumption rate as low as 0.01mW typ. average power, 1Hz measurement frequency. This makes it highly portable and suitable for a range of applications. It can be used in medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and negative pressure wound therapy equipment. In industrial settings, it can be found in air braking systems, gas and water meters. It also has consumer uses in appliances like coffee machines, humidifiers, air beds, washing machines, and dishwashers. The sensor is a valuable addition to the SparkFun Qwiic ecosystem.
The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is an ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables that simplifies and accelerates prototyping while reducing errors. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This design not only minimises the required PCB space but also ensures correct and hassle-free connections thanks to its polarised design.
The features of the Qwiic MicroPressure Sensor include absolute pressure type, operating pressure of 25psi (172.37kPa), I2C Address: 0x18, accuracy of ±0.25%, supply voltage range of 1.8V-3.6V, and a male port size of 2.5mm tube. The port style is barbless, and it can withstand a maximum pressure of 60psi (413.69kPa). It is compatible with various liquid media and comes with two Qwiic Connectors.
