This board utilizes dual ARM Cortex-M0+ processors that can operate up to 133MHz. It is equipped with 264kB of embedded SRAM in six banks, six dedicated IO for SPI Flash (supporting XIP), and 30 multifunction GPIO. The GPIO includes dedicated hardware for commonly used peripherals, programmable IO for extended peripheral support, and a four channel ADC with an internal temperature sensor. The RP2040 also supports USB 1.1 Host/Device functionality.
The RP2040 can be used with both C/C++ and MicroPython cross-platform development environments, offering easy access to runtime debugging. It has UF2 boot and floating-point routines built into the chip. The built-in USB can function as both a device and a host. With its two symmetric cores and high internal bandwidth, the RP2040 is ideal for signal processing and video applications. In addition to the chip's large amount of internal RAM, the board includes an additional 16MB external QSPI flash chip for storing program code.
The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is a network of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to make prototyping faster and less prone to error. All Qwiic-enabled boards use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector, reducing the amount of required PCB space. The polarized connections also ensure you can’t hook it up incorrectly.
The SparkFun Pro Micro RP2040 comes with a range of features. The board has dual Cortex M0+ processors, up to 133 MHz, 264 kB of embedded SRAM in 6 banks, 6 dedicated IO for QSPI flash, 30 programmable IO for extended peripheral support, a SWD interface, a timer with 4 alarms, a real-time counter (RTC), and USB 1.1 Host/Device functionality. It supports MicroPython and C/C++ programming languages.
The board also includes a Raspberry Pi Foundation's RP2040 microcontroller, an AP2112 3.3V voltage regulator, an on-board USB-C connector for programming, a built-in Resettable PTC Fuse, PTH pads with castellated edges, and 20 multifunctional GPIO Pins. The GPIO pins include 4 12-bit ADC channels with an internal temperature sensor, 10 PWM channels, and Serial Peripherals (2 UARTs, 1 I2C (Qwiic enabled), and 1 SPI). The board also features boot and reset buttons, power and WS2812 Addressable LED lights, and 16MB External Flash Memory. The board dimensions are 3.3cm x 1.8cm.
