SparkFun Pressure Sensor Breakout - MS5803-14BA

The MS5803-14BA Pressure Sensor Breakout from SparkFun is a high-resolution sensor that offers both an I²C and SPI interface. This MEMS pressure sensor can measure the absolute pressure of fluids including air, water, and other substances that behave like a viscous fluid. It can be used to determine altitude, water depth, or any task that requires a precise pressure reading. The uniqueness of the MS5803-14BA lies in its gel membrane and antimagnetic stainless steel cap, offering protection against water pressure up to 30 bar.

The MS5803-14BA Breakout provides all the necessary pins including GND and 3.3V for power, SDA/SDI and SCL/SCLK for an I²C interface, and SD0, AD/CS, and PS for a SPI interface. The sensor offers a resolution range of 1 / 0.6 / 0.4 / 0.3 / 0.2 mbar. However, please note that switching between I²C and SPI interfaces requires a bit of soldering between solder pads. The MS5803-14BA is capable of outputting data via I2C and SPI, but please be aware that the Arduino Library and example were only written to output via I2C. For SPI mode, modifications on the board are required by removing solder from the pull-up resistors jumper pads and closing the other two jumpers. If you plan on using this with Arduino, you will also need to write a library to communicate with the MS5803 in SPI mode.
