The ADIN1110 is an ultra-low power, single-port Two-Wire Ethernet transceiver with an integrated media access control (MAC) interface. It allows direct connections with a host controller via a serial peripheral interface (SPI) at 10 Mbps full duplex. The cable reach for edge nodes extends up to 1700 meters.
10BASE-T1L Ethernet operates using a single twisted pair for data and power (Note: this Function Board does not provide power over the cable). It's designed for long-distance connections with reduced cable weight and increased connector integrity, making it ideal for applications like industrial installations and field instruments. Compatible with the 802.3cg IEEE® standard, it supports high bandwidth up to 10 Mbps and can handle Ethernet connections over distances exceeding 1 kilometer.
This kit includes all the hardware necessary for proof of concept communication over 10BASE-T1L Ethernet, making it a valuable tool for testing and development.
Note: A MicroMod Processor board is not included and must be purchased separately for the kit to function properly.
MicroMod is a modular interface ecosystem that connects a microcontroller “processor board” to various “carrier board” peripherals. Utilizing the M.2 standard, the MicroMod standard is designed to easily swap out processors on the fly. Pair a specialized carrier board for the project you need with your choice of compatible processor!
