SparkFun Atmospheric Sensor Breakout - BME280 (with Headers)

The SparkFun BME280 Atmospheric Sensor Breakout with Headers is a compact and powerful tool for measuring a range of atmospheric conditions. This tiny device can provide accurate readings of barometric pressure, humidity, and temperature, making it an ideal choice for applications in indoor/outdoor navigation, weather forecasting, home automation, and personal health and wellness monitoring.

The BME280 sensor on this breakout board is capable of measuring atmospheric pressure from 30kPa to 110kPa, along with relative humidity and temperature. It offers a 3.3V SPI interface and a 5V tolerant I²C interface with pull-up resistors to 3.3V. The board is energy-efficient, taking measurements at less than 1mA and idling at less than 5µA. Although the BME280 Breakout board features 10 pins, no more than six are used at any given time. The board's design ensures that power, ground, and I²C pins are conveniently located on one side, while the remaining pins, which provide SPI functionality along with additional power and ground, are on the other side.

This version of the BME280 comes with pre-soldered headers, eliminating the need for additional soldering. The compact size of the breakout board makes it incredibly versatile and suitable for a variety of applications.

The SparkFun BME280 Atmospheric Sensor Breakout with Headers operates at a voltage of 3.3V and offers both I²C and SPI communications interfaces. It can measure temperatures ranging from -40C to 85C and humidity from 0 - 100% RH, with a relative accuracy of ±3% from 20-80%. The device can measure pressure from 30,000Pa to 110,000Pa, with a relative accuracy of 12Pa and an absolute accuracy of 100Pa. It can also measure altitude from 0 to 9.2km, with a relative accuracy of 1m at sea level and 2m at 9.2km.
