Serial Flash Memory - GD25Q40CTIGR (4Mb, 120MHz)

The GD25Q40C Serial Flash Memory from Sparkfun supports a standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), as well as Dual/Quad SPI. This includes Serial Clock, Chip Select, and Serial Data I/O0 (SI), I/O1 (SO), I/O2 (WP#), and I/O3 (HOLD#). It also offers high-speed data transfer, with the Dual I/O data transferring at a speed of 240Mbits/s and the Quad I/O & Quad output data transferring at a speed of 480Mbits/s.

The 4M-bit Serial Flash Memory features 512K-byte and 256 bytes per programmable page. It also supports standard, dual, and quad SPI. With a high-speed clock frequency of 120MHz for fast read with a 30PF load, the Dual I/O data transfer can reach up to 240Mbits/s, while the Quad I/O data transfer can reach up to 480Mbits/s.

Additionally, the GD25Q40C offers both software and hardware write protection. It guarantees a minimum of 100,000 program/erase cycles, ensuring a long lifespan for your projects. Plus, it features a 20-year data retention typical, making it a reliable choice for long-term storage.

Another advantage of the GD25Q40C is its single power supply voltage. With a full voltage range of 2.7~3.6V, it is versatile and adaptable. Moreover, it has a low power consumption, with a typical deep power down current and a typical standby current of just 1μA.
