Add a colourful light-up dial and elevate your Raspberry Pi project with this RGB Potentiometer Breakout. Its clever Nuvoton microcontroller simplifies the integration of a digital linear potentiometer, providing precision control and vibrant visual feedback in one compact package.

Ideal for applications requiring a set range of motion, such as thermostats or volume controls, the potentiometer’s limited range complements projects with defined start and end points. If continuous rotation is needed, an RGB Encoder Breakout is available for those projects.

This breakout board is extremely versatile, compatible with Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi Pico. Attach it directly to your Pi's GPIO or use it with a breadboard through the included headers. For solderless convenience, pair it with the Breakout Garden to use multiple breakouts simultaneously.

Key features include a Nuvoton MS51 microcontroller with a 12-bit ADC, a controllable RGB LED via PWM, and an I2C interface with a default address of 0x0E. It operates on 3V to 5V and provides reverse polarity protection. Software support is robust, with a Python library for Raspberry Pi and C++/MicroPython libraries for Pi Pico.

Kit includes a pre-assembled RGB Potentiometer Breakout, 1x5 straight male header, and 1x5 right-angle female header for easy GPIO connectivity.

The default I2C address can be changed in the software, offering flexibility for projects with multiple RGB Potentiometer Breakouts or to prevent conflicts with other devices. For the adventurous, custom firmware can be applied to adapt the board's functionality beyond standard use.

Dimensions of this compact component are approximately 25x22x30mm (LxWxH), making it an unobtrusive but powerful addition to any project.
