Pimoroni Plasma 2350

An all-in-one USB-C powered controller, the Plasma 2350, is designed to effortlessly command WS2812/Neopixel and APA102/Dotstar addressable LED strips. Its robust architecture, featuring the RP2350A chip, is akin to a Double Quarter Pounder in the microcontroller world, providing unmatched performance.

Features include 4MB of QSPI flash, screw terminals for LED strips, a USB-C connector for power, and programming with a max current draw of 3A, perfectly sustaining a vibrant array of LEDs. The Plasma 2350 also incorporates a Qw/ST connector for easy integration with Qwiic or STEMMA QT breakouts, along with essential buttons for effect switching and resetting, plus an onboard RGB LED.

Measuring a compact 61 x 22 x 12mm, this fully-assembled controller is compatible with both C/C++ and MicroPython, offering flexibility in programming and application. The STARter Kit enhances usability, including the Plasma 2350, a USB-C cable, and 10m of RGB LED Star Wire to kickstart your illumination projects.

Connect breakouts easily using a JST-SH to JST-SH cable or engage in more complex setups via the accessible I2C, analog, UART, and debug pins. The RP2350 chip, with its enhanced processing speed and extensive GPIO, ensures a significant boost in performance, ideal for handling intensive operations or interfacing with high-resolution displays.
