Pimoroni Picade Plasma Kit - Illuminated Arcade Buttons

Add technicolour brilliance to Picade and Picade Console with this addressable RGB LED button kit. Ten clear 30 mm push fit buttons use Picade Plasma PCBs with four APA102 LEDs each. Chain with JST cables, connect to Picade X HAT, and control via Picade Plasma software.

Examples: pulse on press, cycle colors on menu select, show player lives with color sets, respond to MIDI notes on a microcontroller, ambient attract mode.

Kit contents: 10 clear 30 mm buttons, 10 Picade Plasma PCBs, 5 short 10 cm button cables, 4 long 30 cm button cables, 1 host 30 cm cable.

Features: APA102 addressable RGB LEDs, chainable JST ZH data in and out, designed for low profile arcade buttons, connects to the Hack Header on Picade X HAT, Python daemon for RetroPie and Raspberry Pi OS.

Connectivity: link all Plasma boards with the included cables, then connect the host cable to Picade X HAT, or wire data and power directly to Raspberry Pi GPIO or another microcontroller.

Optics: white PCBs reflect stray light through the clear caps for enhanced glow and even diffusion.

Notes: PCB diameter 24 mm, thickness 5.75 mm including JST. LED brightness limited in software and adjustable. Picade Console not included. Verified on RetroPie and Raspberry Pi OS; other systems may need a native APA102 library.
