Pi Zero USB Stem

The Pi Zero USB Stem is a unique PCB kit that transforms a Raspberry Pi Zero into a USB dongle. With this kit, your Raspberry Pi can be directly plugged into a computer or USB hub without requiring any extra cables or power supplies. It functions as a USB device, using its own Linux kernel gadget drivers to operate.

The Zero Stem kit is specially designed to be soldered directly onto the USB SMD test pads situated at the bottom of the Raspberry Pi Zero. This process requires no wires or pogo pins, just a soldering iron and some solder. Once the stem is attached to your Pi, it paves the way for you to create a portable VNC server or even cluster several Raspberry Pi Zeros using just a USB hub.

This product is compatible with the Raspberry Pi Zero v1.3 and the Raspberry Pi Zero W v1.1. However, it doesn't support the Raspberry Pi Zero v1.2 or any full-size Raspberry Pi due to their different shapes and sizes.

Note: To make your Pi Zero function as a USB device with this Stem, you need to configure it appropriately. Detailed instructions for this can be found under the "How to OTG Fast" section in the Documentations tab.
