The MyoWare LED Shield is designed to be the top board in a stack. Simply solder on some 2.54mm 1x3 male headers and plug it into the sensor board. The power is supplied by the LED shield, but the control is in the hands of the power switch on the sensor. Once the stack is assembled, attach some electrodes and position the sensor on the target muscle.
The MyoWare Muscle Sensor, to which this shield attaches, is an all-in-one electromyography (EMG) sensor from Advancer Technologies, powered by Arduino. The MyoWare board operates by measuring the filtered and rectified electrical activity of a muscle, outputting 0-Vs Volts based on the muscle activity level, where Vs signifies the voltage of the power source.
Keep in mind that while both the MyoWare Power Shield and the MyoWare LED Shield provide power, they do so at slightly different voltages. Therefore, it's advised not to use both of these shields simultaneously.
Processing this item might take a bit longer due to the battery installed in the equipment, which also excludes it from the same-day shipping policy. Please note that these batteries cannot be shipped via Ground or Economy methods to Alaska or Hawaii.
