Description

The soil electrical conductivity (EC) and pH sensor is highly versatile, operating within a broad voltage range of 5-30V. It transmits data via RS485 using the MODBUS-RTU protocol, which ensures fast and reliable responses with minimal interference from the environment. The sensor integrates easily with Arduino systems, making it ideal for applications such as hydroponic systems, saline and alkaline soil management, and drip irrigation systems.

Boasting an IP68 protection level, the soil sensor is vacuum-filled and sealed with black flame-retardant epoxy resin. The probe, constructed from 316 stainless steel, resists rust, water, corrosion, salt-alkali corrosion, and long-term electrolysis. Its performance is influenced by the soil's salt content. The compact size allows for long-term burial in the soil, and it remains compatible with a wide variety of soil types.

The sensor’s automatic temperature compensation function for conductivity ensures precise measurements regardless of environmental shifts. It finds applications across agricultural irrigation, greenhouses, floriculture, vegetable farming, grassland pastures, rapid soil testing, plant cultivation, scientific experiments, grain storage, and other scenarios requiring soil environment testing.

Soil pH, also known as “soil reaction,” reflects the acid-base balance of the soil solution and depends on hydrogen ion concentration, expressed by the pH value. With a pH value of 7 marking neutrality, a value less than 7 indicates acidity, while a value above 7 shows alkalinity. Understanding soil pH levels—ranging from extremely acidic to extremely alkaline—helps in determining soil conditions and managing plant growth effectively.
