LilyPad MP3

The LilyPad MP3 Player is a comprehensive audio solution that integrates an Arduino-compatible microcontroller, an MP3 decoder chip, a micro-SD card socket, and a stereo audio amplifier. As a component of the Lilypad E-textiles range, this board can enhance your fabric designs with the ability to play music or any sound stored on a micro-SD card.

The LilyPad MP3 Player can be powered by a 3.7V Lipo battery, with the charging circuit already built in. Alternatively, it can be powered by an external source ranging from 3.5-6V. The board can play specific audio files when any of its five trigger inputs are grounded. If you want to add a user interface for track selection and volume control, you can solder in an RGB rotary encoder (not included) and load new firmware.

The LilyPad MP3 Player is compatible with sketches written for the MP3 Player Shield. Example code uses Bill Porter's MP3 Player library, simplifying the process of writing new code. To get started, all you need is a microSD card and some speakers.
