The v3HP is similar to the v3 in function but offers faster sampling rates greater than 1kHz, unlike the v3 that is only capable of up to 500Hz. This model is also more power efficient with current consumption rates 40mA less than the v3, consuming only 65mA while idle and 85mA during acquisition.
The LIDAR-Lite v3HP has a ranging capability of 1m to 40m and features an edge-emitting, 905nm (1.3 watts), single-stripe laser transmitter, 8m Radian beam divergence, and an optical aperture of 12.5mm. It operates at 5VDC (6V max) with a peak power of 1.3W and possesses an accuracy of +/- 2.5cm at >2m. Additionally, the LIDAR-Lite is user-configurable, allowing adjustment between accuracy, operating range and measurement time and can be interfaced via I2C or PWM with the attached 200mm cable.
The LIDAR-Lite v3HP is a CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT CLASSIFIED EN/IEC 60825-1 2014. This product conforms to performance standards for laser products under 21 CFR 1040, except with respect to those characteristics authorized by Variance Number FDA-2016-V-2943 effective September 27, 2016.
The LIDAR-Lite v3HP boasts of features such as 1 cm resolution, a typical accuracy of +/- 2.5cm at distances greater than 2 meters, a range of 1m to 40m, an update rate greater than 1kHz, and an interface of I2C or PWM. It operates at 4.75-5VDC; 6V Max, has a current consumption of 65ma idle; 85ma during acquisition, operates at temperatures between -20°C to 60°C, has a laser wave length/Peak power of 905nm/1.3W, beam divergence of 8m Radian, optical aperture of 12.5mm, is water rated at IPX7, and has unit dimensions of 24.5mm x 53.5mm x 33.5mm. The unit weighs only 34g.
