The Sparkfun Fairy Lights are addressable RGB LED string lights that are perfect for any project, requiring no soldering. These insulated lights span 5m and feature one RGB LED every 5cm, totaling 100 LEDs. With an IP65 waterproof rating, these lights are designed to withstand various conditions.

The Fairy Lights come with a locking 3-pin JST connector on both ends, one male and one female. The wiring and pinout details are as follows:

  • Red Stripe = 5V
  • "White" (Middle) = DAT
  • "White" (The Other Side) = GND (wire appears to be connected closest to the LED's dotted polarity marker side)
