The EX8036 Stereo Camera comes equipped with the eSP870U camera controller. This feature enables the camera to handle intensive depth-map computing algorithms, thus saving critical CPU resources for other tasks. The IR pattern illuminator operates at a wavelength of 850nm, and the camera offers variable video output. The global shutter allows feature extraction while in motion or on moving objects, making the EX8036 more than just a depth-mapping device, but a highly advanced machine vision module.

The package includes a basic viewer, several Dynamic Link Libraries, XML files for face recognition, and a small executable called eDepthPresence.
