These durable plastic gearbox motors are an ideal solution for your robotic projects, providing a reliable and affordable method to set your creation in motion. Featuring a gear ratio of 1:48, each motor includes two 200mm wires with 0.1" male connectors, making them easy to integrate with breadboards or terminal blocks.
The motors operate within a 3VDC to 6VDC range, achieving higher speeds with increased voltage. Tested at various voltages, they offer impressive performance: at 3VDC, 150mA at 120 RPM no-load and 1.1 Amps when stalled; at 4.5VDC, 155mA at 185 RPM no-load, and 1.2 Amps stalling; at 6VDC, 160mA at 250 RPM no-load, and 1.5 Amps stalled.
These basic motors are straightforward to use with direct voltage input for rotation, but they lack built-in encoders, speed control, or positional feedback, requiring an additional feedback system for precision. A high-current motor driver is necessary to operate from a microcontroller, with the recommended DRV8833 driver supporting proper functionality.
