The sensor features a dual-layer design: the upper layer includes a thin film and a pressure-sensitive layer, while the lower layer comprises a thin film and a conductive circuit. These layers are bonded using double-sided tape. When pressure is applied to the active area, the lower layer's initially disconnected circuit becomes connected through the upper layer's pressure-sensitive component, translating pressure into measurable resistance.
