The MPU-6050 is a classic choice for motion-sensing projects, featuring a triple-axis accelerometer and gyro combo. This sensor determines orientation by gravity measurement and senses rotational speed, helping to track movement through space efficiently.
Our breakout board simplifies the usage of this sensor by including onboard support circuitry compatible with both 3.3V and 5V logic levels, allowing effortless integration with systems like Feather, Raspberry Pi, and Arduino. Its I2C communication simplifies connection with only two wires required, alongside power and ground.
With included SparkFun Qwiic-Compatible STEMMA QT connectors, you can connect the sensor without soldering. Just wire it up to your chosen microcontroller and use the available CircuitPython, Python, or Arduino libraries to retrieve accelerometer and gyroscope data swiftly.
The board is fully assembled and tested, featuring four 2.5mm mounting holes for secure attachment. It also comes with a standard 0.1" header bit for use with breadboards or perfboards. Please note, a QT cable is not included, but various options are available separately.
