LED - RGB Clear Common Anode

The Sparkfun RGB Clear Common Anode LED is a 5mm unit with four pins, representing red, green, blue, and a common anode. This versatile LED can be used for three distinct status indicators or, through pulse width modulation, can create a variety of mixed colors.

This LED is perfect for projects that require visual feedback. For instance, it can be used in DIY electronics projects to indicate different statuses: red for power, green for active, and blue for standby. Alternatively, by modulating the pulse width of all three colors, users can create a rainbow of hues for decorative lighting projects or color-coded alerts.

One of the unique properties of this LED is its common anode. Unlike the common cathode version, which shares a cathode, this LED shares an anode. This feature makes it more efficient in certain circuits and offers more flexibility in design.

The forward voltage of the RGB Clear Common Anode LED is (2.0, 3.2, 3.2)V, and its luminosity is (800, 4000, 900)mcd. This ensures bright, clear colors for any application.
