SparkFun RTK Express Plus

The SparkFun RTK Express Plus is a versatile GNSS receiver designed for centimeter-level positioning. This device is ideal for surveying, autonomous vehicles, logging, and other applications that require precision positioning. The RTK Express Plus features an internal IMU that combines real-time GNSS tracking with advanced sensor fusion, ensuring accurate positioning even in locations where GNSS is unavailable. It is preprogrammed and ready to use with a correction source, enabling an RTK system with a 14mm horizontal positional accuracy. The device also includes a built-in Bluetooth® connection and an internal battery that allows for over five hours of field use.

RTK Express Plus is compatible with common GIS software for Android and iOS. The device also comes with an embedded display that provides immediate feedback on horizontal positional accuracy, satellites in view, logging status, sensor fusion status, battery level, and Bluetooth® MAC. It also features keypad buttons for easy navigation and a 1300mAh battery for extended run time. The device also includes an accelerometer for digital leveling in the field.

The RTK Express Plus can be used in two modes: GNSS Positioning with IMU Aid and GNSS Positioning with RTK and IMU Aid. In Position mode, the device receives L1/L2 signals from an antenna and provides lat/long and altitude with accuracies around 300mm. In Positioning with RTK mode, the device receives L1/L2 signals from the antenna and correction data from a base station, providing even more accurate positioning.

The RTK Express Plus does not support a base station or generating RTCM corrections. However, it can be used with products based on the ZED-F9P for those who wish to implement their own RTK base station. The device comes with two cables that allow users to plug in SparkFun's Serial Telemetry Radios or their own radio link.

Please note that the RTK Express Plus does not include an antenna, serial telemetry radio, or associated mounting pieces. These items will need to be purchased separately.

The RTK Express Plus is equipped with a ZED-F9R GNSS Receiver that supports concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. It also features an ESP32 WROOM Bluetooth® Transceiver with up to 240MHz clock frequency and 16MB of flash storage. The device weighs 162g and measures 132mm x 101mm x 32mm.
