LIR2450 3.6V rechargeable coincell battery

The LIR2450 3.6V coin cell is the rechargeable version of the CR2450. LIR2450 lithium button cells are commonly used in wind-up torches, wind-up radios, car security, organisers (backup battery for PDA), computer equipment (memory backup battery), toys, communication equipment, and so forth.

The lithium-ion technology used in these LIR-2450 cells is light-weight and high voltage. It results in significantly higher energy density than NiCd and NiMH batteries.The lithium-ion technology used in these LIR-2450 cells has no 'memory-effect'. This LIR-2450 requires the use of protection circuitry to keep the battery from over-charging, over-discharging, or over-heating.
